Attacking the Acne January 20, 2010

Back to pimples…..lol. Sorry. I did some research and tried to find an acne solution. I read that you can make a paste out of baking soda and water. You apply it to the face and let it sit for 15 minutes. Then you rinse(don’t forget this part otherwise people will look at you funny). Apply a light moisturizer.
The baking soda helps dry the excess oil on your face and helps the blemishes heal more quickly.
You won’t even believe how soft your face will feel.

World Record Pimple January 20, 2010

I will spare you the picture, but Steven has the biggest neck pimple ever known to man! Ewwww! It is mainly because he has been squeezing it everyday to the point that it is now swollen. lol This has been happening to him more often lately. I think he needs to see a dermatologist so he can see about getting a natural acne remedy. He doesn’t like to use the alcohol pads on his face but I bet they could recommend something that would clear it up for him.

Talking Cake? January 20, 2010

Remember in the last post how I said I was responsible for making Nettie’s birthday cake?  Well…..do any of you know of some safe diet pills?   Because I have the leftovers in my kitchen right now…..and it has been calling my name.  Maybe I should eat the rest of it and then bake a replacement cake before Steven gets home!  Hehe.

Nettie’s 75th Birthday January 20, 2010

On Monday the quilting ladies celebrated Nettie’s 75th birthday.  Isn’t that amazing?  She’s a wonderful woman and has become one of my very best friends.  That is why it was important to me to make Nettie’s day as special as I could.  I was in charge of the cake, the gift and the decorations.

Nettie said it was the best birthday she’s ever had. :D

Skin care products is one of my top priorities and always on a lookout for a good one. I just found out arcona skinare and read about it. It seems like a good product in preventing premature aging. We will get old because that’s part of life but it is also nice to use a product that helps the skin. I love moisturizer on my face. Even though I don’t clean it so much as long as I have my moisturizer, I’m good to go.

Steven and I now have different vitamins. He is using vitamins for men while my vitamins is geared towards women because it has more calcium. Women need more calcium because we give birth. I know one friend who lost her tooth after she gave birth to her daughter. I also have an aunt who has osteoporosis. Her body is no longer straight and it looks really uncomfortable. It happened to her after she gave birth. It’s so scary.

RoadHouse Grill January 20, 2010

We celebrated when I passed my exam at RoadHouse Grill. They have free peanuts and their specialty is their steaks. I am not into steaks so much but I wanted a burger so bad. We just walked from our place and waited for 30 minutes to get seated. There were a lot of people waiting in line. I enjoyed the bread so much, it was really sweet and soft. I was disappointed with the burger because it was bland but I like the bread they used. The steak didn’t look like the one they have in the menu but it was really good still. I had a great time despite my burger. I would go back there again.

Steven bought my nieces and nephew some vitamins. I’m really glad he did that because I know they need them. These are chewable and hopefully, really delicious for them. I remember when my mom used to make us take the cod liver oil and it tasted weird that we me and my siblings would hide until my mom will find us. Yes, it tasted bad but I’m sure it helped a lot in our growth. Now they developed more flavors and I’m sure it tasted better.
