The Rice Addict

I love rice and I love to cook and bake so this is what it’s all about.

No Beards Allowed February 20, 2010

Steven looks good with a few days worth of facial hair, but lately his beard has been too long. In fact, he kissed my forehead the other day and it really scratched my forehead. Then today I noticed a breakout of pimples on my face right where he kissed me. His beard caused anadult acne breakout. lol

I’m making him shave the beard tonight. It’s just too painful. Well, at least I have the free moisturizers coming to me soon!

I’m so excited! I just won a blog giveaway. That’s why I love blogging so much. I won $150 in free make-up and natural face moisturizers. Isn’t that awesome?

I can’t wait to try them out. All of the items are made from minerals, if I understood the description correctly.

I’ll Never Understand February 20, 2010

Do you know women who like to pick the blackheads off of their husband’s face? I’ll never understand that. My husband says that he knows several women who hold their husbands down and pick on them. They are like a humanblackhead extractor. It’s crazy.
I won’t ever touch those things. I don’t think they should be picked at anyway. It’s not good for the skin.

I’m under a lot of stress right now. It’s too bad I procrastinated on my homework. Now I’m under the gun, trying to complete my assignments before my midnight deadline. Hmm….should I really be blogging?
I just ate pretty much a whole chicken. lol I think I’m eating to subdue the stress. I think I need a good dose of relacore to counteract the caloric mess I’ve gotten myself into.

The Cost of Cancer February 20, 2010

An old co-worker of mine has cancer and is holding on for his life. The outlook isn’t too good but he’s currently undergoing mesothelioma treatments at this time. He has for a while now. They’ve had to sell most of their belongings to fund the treatments, just so he can stay alive as long as possible with his wife. The saddes part is that he and his wife are just recently married.
The only relief comes in knowing that he is born-again and will be in heaven.

Click Here February 20, 2010

I received a gift of $50 worth of advertising with Google Adsense this week. I’ve been using it to promote my new site for giveaways. It’s amazing how many people visit the site just by visiting some link that says”click here.”
I guess curiosity just gets the best of people, huh?
It’s fine if people click on my ad links out there, but just a word of advice to men out there: don’t do it! If you want to keep your heart and mind pure, then beware of mindless pointing and clicking.
The computer is a great tool to have these days, but also a very dangerous tool for the enemy. We need to be careful of the positions we put ourselves in as men who are trying to follow hard after God and do what will bring glory to the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Less Time For Errands Now February 20, 2010

Steven and I have been talking about buying car lately. It has become more difficult to get around town since I got my job. The bus doesn’t run as often late at night–which is when I work. One reason we don’t want to get a car is the cost of insurance and then also gas prices. First we need to get a quote on the auto insurance. We’re hoping we can get a discounted price since we’re also planning on getting a
a whole life insurance plan.
We’ve been talking about that for a while now. That’s the other thing that is difficult about both the husband and the wife working: we don’t have a lot of time to run errands. It is nice to have the extra income though. We must be careful though that we don’t place money above other things in our life though.

Yesterday was the first time I got my salary. So I went out with my friend and her twins to a Chinese buffet. It was late in the afternoon so they made us pay extra since we stayed longer for dinner. I didn’t get to bring my camera. If the twins were not crying, I would want to stay longer. the food was good. I loved it. It was fun seeing my friend, we haven’t seen each other for a while now.
