The Rice Addict

Yesterday was the first time I got my salary. So I went out with my friend and her twins to a Chinese buffet. It was late in the afternoon so they made us pay extra since we stayed longer for dinner. I didn’t get to bring my camera. If the twins were not crying, I would want to stay longer. the food was good. I loved it. It was fun seeing my friend, we haven’t seen each other for a while now.

This is the food we had during the Filipino Christmas part at a friend’s house. She was really nice to invite us over to her place and spend time with other Filipinos. I always love eating with them because they’re funny and they love taking photos a lot! I used to like having my photo taken but now I’m the one who enjoys taking other people’s photos. I want to be good at it. Hopefully, when I get to buy a camera I can take photography class.

I gave a birthday party to my wonderful friend, Nettie. She is such a sweet lady who made a difference in my life by being such a good friend. She brought me hiking and camping and helped me when I was sick and my dad was sick. She will always be my friend. I wish I could’ve done a better job in celebrating her birthday. She said she loved it. I truly hope she did.

I haven’t been doing food blogging lately. Too busy to take photos of the stuff I bake. Hopefully, this Saturday I can take photos of the food I will be making for the meals of love. I’m just baking chicken drumstick and make macaroni salad. Then I will make macaroons for dessert. I like doing this stuff for people who need help. It’s a nice opportunity to be able to give because that means God is blessing the person giving because he or she has something to give.

Last Sunday, our pastor asked who works at the construction or who knows how to pound a nail using a hammer and this old lady raised up her hand. She is my friend and she used to do construction jobs. She knows a lot about industrial equipment and even though she used to work a tough job, she is really gentle. I love her. I still need to bake her my chocolate cake which I will be posting here soon. She loves it and I owe her that for helping me when I was sick and praying for me.
